Biomaterials for bone and joint

Edited by: Jae Hyup Lee, Seoul National University, College of Medicine, Korea
Bone and joint are the major organs and tissues of the musculoskeletal system. The biomaterials used in bone and joints reconstruct or regenerate the musculoskeletal system and can be used in the field of orthopedic surgery, maxillofacial surgery, dental surgery and neurosurgery. In the meantime, biomaterials in the bone and joint field have developed rapidly, including artificial bone development with osteoinductivity and osteoconductivity, caritilage reconstruction with tissue engineering using stem cells.
This thematic series in Biomaterials Research covers fabrication, characterization of materials (biomaterials for bone, cartilage, synovium) and applications for biomedical and tissue engineering fields.
To submit a paper to this series, please visit the Biomaterials Research submission site. Make sure to choose the name of the series under the "Are you submitting to a thematic series?" question on the "Additional information" tab.
New articles in the series will appear here as they are published.
