Thank you for celebrating and supporting National Women’s Health Week!
What a week! We encouraged women across the country to schedule their annual well-woman visits, get active, eat healthy, pay attention to their mental health, and avoid risky behaviors like smoking and texting while driving.
We also had some exciting happenings from the week:
- A Presidential Proclamation from President Barack Obama.
- A blog post from HHS Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell.
- Blog posts from OWH Director Dr. Nancy C. Lee on the Huffington Post and womenshealthmag.com.
- More than 3,000 women have taken the National Women’s Health Week pledge.
While National Women’s Health Week may be over, it’s never too late to take steps for better health. National Women’s Health Week serves as a reminder for women to make their health a priority 365 days a year.
Visit www.womenshealth.gov/nwhw to learn what you can do to make your health #1, and then pledge to take at least one step for better health.
Be well, women, and we’ll see you next National Women’s Health Week!
