
NIAID Clinical Trial Studies Vitamin D3 in Pediatric Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
An NIAID-sponsored clinical trial is evaluating how vitamin D supplementation affects the immune function, blood sugar levels, and bone metabolism of children and adolescents who have systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). People with SLE ages 5 to 20 may be eligible to participate in this study, which is being conducted at research institutions across the United States.
