Help prevent teen dating violence before it starts with creative PSA
Did you know 1 in 5 women and nearly 1 in 7 men, who have experienced rape, physical violence or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime, experienced some form of intimate partner violence for the first time between 11 and 17 years of age? The “I VetoViolence Because…”: Teen Dating Violence Prevention Public Service Announcement Contest asks violence prevention professionals, organizations, advocates, and students to develop a video public service announcement, focusing on the importance of teen dating violence prevention. Participants can submit their video of 60 seconds or less in one of three categories — General Public, Student, or Violence Prevention Professional. One winner from each category will win $500 and be featured on the VetoViolence Facebook page! The submission deadline is August 15, 2013. Learn More |
