Drs. Collins and Wolinetz pen a JAMA Viewpoint remembering Henrietta Lacks on her 100th birthday and calling for the establishment of stronger biospecimen consent policies.

In a JAMA Viewpoint, Dr. Collins and Associate Director for Science Policy and Chief of Staff Dr. Carrie Wolinetz urge the scientific community to take concrete action to establish a Henrietta Lacks biospecimen consent policy that would require consent from research participants regardless of whether their biospecimens are identifiable. JAMA.
