We are excited to announce that My Gene Counsel and Precision Oncology News (a division of GenomeWeb focused on the application of genomics to guide cancer treatment) have partnered to produce a digital news series called "Genetic Testing Challenges in Oncology." The series will highlight real-world issues that genetics experts and medical professionals are encountering as genetic tests are increasingly used in cancer care.

The first feature in the series, which examines a case in which variants of unknown significance were used to make medical management decisions, has been published.

Each article in the series will examine a real-world anonymized case report, the challenges encountered by medical professionals dealing with the case, strategies used in response to challenges or errors, and a discussion with My Gene Counsel's genetic counseling experts on optimal approaches to consider if similar cases are encountered in the future.

We could not be more excited to partner with Precision Oncology News to share these cases in order to educate experts in the field, foster discussion, and help drive the adoption of precision oncology.

If you would like to submit a case report for a future article, please email us at info@mygenecounsel.com.

Many thanks,

Ellen Matloff
