Study Finds That Ultra-Processed Foods Lead to Weight Gain6/12/19New results from an NIDDK study—the first randomized, controlled study comparing ultra-processed and unprocessed diets—found that people eating ultra-processed foods ate more calories and gained more weight than when they ate a minimally processed diet.
