What can the aging brain do?

The brain controls many aspects of thinking including remembering, planning and organizing, and making decisions. You may think that aging has only negative effects on the brain, like problems with finding words, recalling names, or multi-tasking.
But aging may also bring positive cognitive changes! Older people often have more knowledge and insight from a lifetime of experiences. Research shows that older adults can still:
