This World AIDS Day, Put Your #BestDefense Into Play
One in four people living with HIV in the United States is female and, according to a 2013 study, only half of sexually active female high school students used a condom the last time they had sex. That’s why today, on World AIDS Day, the Office on Women’s Health (OWH) is continuing to add its voice to the global fight against HIV.
As a champion of women’s and girls’ health, OWH is particularly concerned with how HIV affects women and girls across the United States. To commemorate World AIDS Day, OWH released two new updates to its website, including the:
- HIV and AIDS section
- National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day 2017 landing page
We hope you will take action and put your #BestDefense into play in the fight against HIV.
