BioMed Central are pleased to announce that Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases (OJRD) is supporting Rare Disease Day 2016. The 29th February marks the ninth international Rare Disease Day coordinated by EURORDIS.
 | This year’s Rare Disease Day is particularly meaningful for OJRD, as it coincides with its tenth anniversary. For a decade, the journal has been publishing quality research on specific rare diseases, clinical trial outcome reports, and public health issues in the field of rare diseases and orphan drugs. The 2016 theme ‘Patient Voice’ recognises the crucial role that patients play in voicing their needs and the slogan ‘Join us in making the voice of rare diseases heard’ appeals to a wider audience, those that are not directly affected by a rare disease, to join the community in making known the impact of rare diseases. |
