CDC Naegleria fowleri Website Updates

CDC’s Naegleria fowleri website has been updated with new information, including numbers of infections through 2013 and new treatment guidance. As a reminder, the site is a one-stop shop for information aboutNaegleria fowleri and primary amebic meningoencephalitis (PAM) for the general public, as well as public health and medical professionals. Resources include:
- Frequently asked questions for a public audience (also available in Spanish)
- Prevention information for both swimming and tap/faucet water
- Epidemiologic information, such as where, when, and to whom infections have occurred since 1962
- Information for public health and medical professionals, including diagnosis, treatment, and a photo and video library
- A publication library with links to key articles on Naegleria fowleri
