New EHS Spotlight Features: Recreational Water Illness & Injury (RWII) Prevention Week 2013 (May 20-26)
The week before the start of the summer swim season is Recreational Water Illness and Injury (RWII) Prevention Week (May 20–26, 2013). This observance represents a great opportunity to increase public awareness about recreational water–associated illness and injury and, more importantly, promote healthy and safe swimming.
Twitter Chat on Healthy and Safe Swimming - On Wednesday, May 22, from 2:00–3:00 pm ET, CDC experts Michele Hlavsa and Michael Beach will tweet about how swimmers can keep themselves and others healthy and safe this summer swim season and beyond.
