Here's a Challenge: Help Prevent High-Risk Drinking Among College Students
There's a new opportunity for individuals and organizations to help prevent high-risk drinking among college students. SAMHSA is seeking solutions to this problem through cost-effective, portable, technology-based products that effectively reach a diverse population of college students and their parents, as well as administrators, faculty, and staff. These products should be adaptable to meet the local needs of academic institutions throughout the United States.
Enter the challenge by developing your own web or mobile application, SMS, podcast, or other technology or online product that addresses the issue of high-risk drinking among college students. First place will receive $60,000, second place will receive $30,000, and third place will receive $10,000. Put your skills to work by helping SAMHSA address this key issue. You still have until July 7, 2013, at 11 p.m., eastern time, to submit your product!
