Volunteers Needed for New NIAID Clinical Trial on Antibiotic-Induced Yeast Infections
A new NIAID clinical research trial seeks to determine why taking antibiotics sometimes increases a woman’s risk of getting a yeast infection. Volunteers are needed to participate in this study, which is being conducted at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
Did you know?
  • Nearly 75% of all adult women have had a least one yeast infection in their lifetime.
  • On rare occasions, men can also get yeast infections.
  • Yeast infections occur more frequently and are more severe in people with weakened immune systems.
