She had smoked cannabis for the first time the day before for her birthday. Since then, she has been experiencing audiovisual hallucinations, incoherent speech, and insomnia.

A 21-year-old woman, a premed student with a formerly strong academic record, presents with a 3-month history of stomach aches and intermittent loss of appetite. She says she frequently experiences a sense of emptiness, heaviness, or discomfort of her entire abdominal area, with no localization. Each episode lasts for hours and is not accompanied by sharp pain, fever, diarrhea, constipation, or vomiting. During these episodes, she does not want to eat.

His history included hepatic encephalopathy, refractory ascites, hepatic hydrothorax, chronic kidney disease, and severe protein-calorie malnutrition, with a BMI of 14.9. He underwent emergent laparotomy with hernia repair and drain placement.
