AHA LLN Micro-Learning Session: PPE Preservation Strategies — The next COVID-19 Living Learning Network microlearning session, “COVID-19 PPE Preservation Strategies”, will be held on Thursday, October 15th from 1:00PM to 1:45PM EST (Register Here). During the 45-minute session, participants will learn about the latest COVID-19 personal protective equipment (PPE) preservation strategies presented by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Healthcare Resilience Working Group. The speakers will walk through the new PPE Preservation Planning Toolkit developed to help hospitals and health systems prevent a PPE shortage. Participants will be able to ask questions in real-time on how to use the toolkit, its positive impacts on managing PPE, and the estimated length of time PPE supplies can be sustained throughout your organization.

Presenters:
  • Captain Joselito Ignacio, U.S. Public Health Services officer, HHS Healthcare Resilience Working Group
  • Leslie D. Hintz, supply preservation support team lead, HHS Healthcare Resilience Working Group
Funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Living Learning Network (LLN) is an American Hospital Association (AHA) member community for health systems and their hospitals to discuss, ideate and reform healthcare in response to COVID-19 with other healthcare leaders from across the field. The participating health systems and hospitals have access to a curated network of respected subject matter experts and distinguished colleagues to participate in real-world discussions, expand perspectives and problem-solve together.
