SAVE THE DATE & REGISTER: HRSA ORO's Ending the HIV Epidemic Virtual Listening Session
We have an exciting opportunity for you to participate in our Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) Virtual Listening Session hosted by HRSA’s Office of Regional Operations (ORO) in Seattle, Washington (Region 10) in collaboration with Public Health Seattle King County (PHSKC), Washington State Department of Health (WA DOH), the Mountain West AIDS Education Training Center (MWAETC), HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH), and HHS Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) on Friday, August 21, 2020. This virtual two-hour event will serve as a primer for our future in-person Ending the HIV Epidemic Forum that is proposed to take place in 2021.
Who can attend? All organizations and individuals working with people with HIV in Region 10 (Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington). While the EHE updates will center on King County as the only EHE jurisdiction in Region 10, we want to invite all of Region 10 to attend this event and share their successes, challenges, and resources during our facilitated breakout session discussions.
Why should I attend? Attending this virtual event will afford you many opportunities, including:
- Address the current climate of HIV in Washington State (EHE jurisdiction is King County) including program, funding, and COVID-19 updates and discuss the current status of Ending the HIV Epidemic
- Engage with other individuals and organizations in breakout sessions to discuss HIV prevention, stigma and racial/ ethnic disparities, and HIV/AIDS service and care delivery
- Provide the opportunity for grantees and stakeholders to offer feedback regarding the information and topics they would like to see addressed during the future in-person 2021 Ending the HIV Epidemic Forum
