People at High Risk for Severe Illness   

​Chronic health problems can result in more serious flu illness. The same seems to be true of COVID-19, according to a CDC report looking at about 1,500 COVID-19 hospitalizations reported during March. If you have flu-like symptoms and a high risk underlying chronic condition, contact your health care provider. 

People Who Are at Higher Risk for Severe Illness

COVID-19 is a new disease and there is limited information regarding risk factors for severe disease.
Based on currently available information and clinical expertise, older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
Older adults and some people with medical conditions are at higher risk for severe illness
