DOJ may back citizens who sue states over 'onerous' coronavirus restrictions, Barr says


U.S. Attorney General William Barr, in a new interview, took a swipe at state restrictions on citizens during the coronavirus pandemic, indicating not only that people could sue over measures that go too far, but that the Justice Department could end up siding with them.

In Idaho, the arrest of a mother who allegedly refused to leave a playground area closed due to the coronavirus pandemic sparked a street protest on Tuesday.
