Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report

According to CDC’s latest FluView report (Nov 3 – 9), seasonal flu activity is increasing nationally with some parts of the country seeing an early start to their flu season. While it’s too early to say what viruses will predominate this season, influenza B/Victoria viruses are nationally predominant at this time, which is unusual. CDC also is reporting another flu pediatric death this week.
