Instagram: NCCIH Is Playing a Major Role in the NIH HEAL Initiative

NCCIH is playing a major role in the NIH HEAL (Helping to End Addiction Long-term) Initiative, a trans-agency effort focused on improving prevention and treatment strategies for opioid misuse and addiction as well as enhancing pain management. This research effort has the goal of improving treatments for chronic pain, while curbing the rates of opioid use disorder and overdose and achieving long-term recovery from opioid addiction.
