The RxNorm July full monthly release and notes are available as of Monday, July 1, 2019, and include a new "Vaginal Sponge" dose form. The RxNorm "Vaginal Sponge" dose form is defined as a disposable sponge saturated with a medication to be placed in the vagina, covering the cervix. It is currently used to represent a contraceptive product. This change affects one branded medication concept and its data graph. Below is the medication 19s RxNorm Concept Unique Identifier (RXCUI) and name.
