Attention Fellow Student and/or Student Advisor,
Time is running out to participate in an excellent opportunity to present your work at the upcoming 26th annual meeting of the Council of Ionizing Radiation Measurements and Standards (CIRMS). Please take advantage of this opportunity before the end of this week.
CIRMS will be awarding up to eight student travel grant awards. These awards of $1,000 will cover conference registration, a one-year membership in CIRMS, and will support travel and lodging costs.
In addition, students’ essays will be selected to enter a poster presentation competition, in which prizes of $500, $300, and $200 will be given out.
All work involving the use of ionizing radiation will be considered including areas such as medical physics, radiation protection, industrial applications, etc. Essays submissions discussing the project's objectives, methods, and results are being solicited. Essays must not exceed 1000 words and may include figures and tables. Additional information on the CIRMS student awards program, including an essay template, and how to submit an essay online can be found at the following web link: http://www.cirms.org/
It is the goal of CIRMS to encourage and expand the participation of students. Because of this, we encourage you to submit online an essay before the deadline at http://www.cirms.org/grant_
