As climate change, and in particular rising temperatures, poses a very real risk to agriculture in the future it has become vital to find ways to protect crops from increases in heat stress. This study investigates how the evergreen shrub Rhazya stricta tolerates the arid, hot climate in which it grows, giving us new insights into the regulatory mechanisms of this thermotolerance.
