Three years after President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law, SAMHSA pauses to reflect on the successes and challenges of transforming our health system.
A new SAMHSA report shows adults experiencing any mental illness or a substance use disorder in the past year represent 24.8 percent of the adult population, but that same group used 39.6 percent of all cigarettes smoked by adults.
The grant program will expand substance abuse treatment and HIV services for African American, Hispanic/Latina, and other racial/ethnic minority women (ages 18 years and older).
