Health Tip: Kids Keeping You From Exercising?
Find time even if family keeps you busy
Tuesday, March 26, 2013
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lists these tips to keep responsibilities at home from preventing your workouts:
- Ask a family member or friend with young children to swap babysitting with you so you can have time to get to the gym.
- Find exercise you can do with the kids, such as going for a walk, playing a game of tag or doing a dance/aerobic exercise video together.
- Get some simple at-home exercise equipment, such as a stationary bike or a jump rope, to exercise at home when the kids are busy playing or taking naps.
- Try to dedicate time to exercising when the kids aren't with you.
