SAMHSA Headlines: SAMHSA Supports NFL Total Wellness Program; Disaster Distress Helpline

The NFL Life Line offers NFL players, staff, and their families a confidential resource for talking about emotional, physical, financial, relationship, or legal issues.
This new funding helps expand the use of screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment (SBIRT) services for adults in primary care and community health settings.
The SAMHSA-sponsored Helpline, 1‐800‐985‐5990, is currently responding to those affected by the recent shooting in Aurora, Colorado.
This grant program is designed to reduce barriers to treatment and stable housing for people who are homeless with mental and substance use disorders and their families.
Grantees will develop a comprehensive strategic plan for improving and expanding services provided by systems of care for children and youth with serious mental health conditions and their families.
