CDC Web Updates:New Items Added to CDC's HIV Web site

New MMWR: CDC Grand Rounds: the TB/HIV SyndemicThis MMWR is another in a series of occasional MMWR reports titled CDC Grand Rounds. These reports are based on grand rounds presentations at CDC on high-profile issues in public health science, practice, and policy. TB and HIV act synergistically within a population to cause excess morbidity and mortality. PWHA are more likely to develop TB disease because of their immunodeficiency; HIV infection is the most powerful risk factor for progressing from TB infection to disease.
Updates to FOA 12-1201: Comprehensive Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Prevention Programs for Health DepartmentsAs a requirement of the PS12-1201 Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), health department grantees must complete and submit a Jurisdictional HIV Prevention Plan and a Comprehensive Program Plan. These plans cover the project period from January 1, 2012 – December 31, 2016.
