The webinar will feature Laura Delano, Founder of the Inner Compass Initiative, and Cooper Davis, Executive Director of the Inner Compass Initiative. Laura and Cooper will share their personal experiences being diagnosed with bipolar and ADD/ADHD, respectively, while exploring the importance of individuals (i.e., patients, consumers) making informed choices regarding psychiatric medications, including understanding benefits, risks, dependence, and withdrawal. The webinar will also highlight a range of potential treatment options beyond medication, such as somatic therapies, lifestyle changes, peer support, and other supportive practices. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with Laura and Cooper through a moderated question and answer segment. The webinar is open to all, but registration is required.   Arthur Kleinschmidt, Ph.D., M.B.A., SAMHSA’s Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary (PDAS), will provide opening remarks to begin the webinar.
