National Sickle Cell Awareness Month

September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month. This year, OMH is raising awareness about sickle cell disease (SCD) and the growing challenges COVID-19 has had on the SCD community. OMH is also supporting HHS and Howard University's Health+ SCD Healthathon, a public innovation contest to foster ground-breaking and data-driven solutions for SCD care.
