Preliminary TB Surveillance Data for 2018
In recognition of World TB Day, DTBE published preliminary TB surveillance data for 2019. Data from CDC’s national tuberculosis (TB) surveillance system show the lowest number of TB cases in the United States on record, but the pace of decline has slowed in recent years. TB cases declined 1.1% between 2018 and 2019 (from 9,021 to 8,920 cases), while TB rates declined 1.6% (from 2.8 to 2.7 cases/100,000 persons).
