BMC Biomedical Engineering invites you to submit to our new thematic series: Innovative biomedical engineering concepts in musculoskeletal research, development and surgery
New Content Item
Musculoskeletal-related injuries and degenerative conditions constitute an unmet clinical need and continuously increase, straining healthcare systems worldwide. Advanced biomedical engineering approaches (e.g. functionalised biomaterials, cell-based therapies, minimal invasive surgeries) are under intense academic research, industrial innovation and clinical translation. This special issue, which has been inspired by EORS 2018, and will provide topical reviews and research papers in the field of biomedical engineering for musculoskeletal applications.
We would welcome direct submission of any original research you would like to be considered. Please submit to the dedicated BMC Supplements and Collections site (not directly to BMC Biomedical Engineering), stating in your cover letter that you are targeting the ‘Innovative biomedical engineering concepts in musculoskeletal research, development and surgery’ collection. Please also select “BMC Biomed Eng - musculoskeletal issue” as the target issue, when prompted during the submission process. Alternatively you can email your pre-submission queries to alexandros.houssein@biomedcentral.com
The deadline for submission of manuscripts is 30th September 2019
