The antiretroviral drug maraviroc, alone or in combination with other drugs, is safe and well-tolerated when taken daily to prevent HIV infection by HIV-uninfected men who have sex with men, new clinical trial findings show.Investigators today reported results from the NIAID-sponsored HPTN 069/ACTG 5305 trial at the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections in Boston.
