The New York State Department of Health (DOH) released its 2013 annual report [PDF - 4.9 MB] describing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) among New York hospital patients. |
The report provides data reported for the following HAIs: central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI) and surgical site infections (SSI). The report also presents data on the occurrence of Clostridium difficile infections (CDI) and Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE). The report indicates that New York hospitals are showing improvement when compared to national data. | |
