EbolaThe recent Ebola virus disease outbreak in West Africa has increased the need for U.S. healthcare facilities to be prepared to safely manage a patient with suspected Ebola virus disease. Mark your calendars for a joint webinar on Ebola preparations with CDC and the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) on Wed., Aug. 13, 2014, at 1PM EDT.
CDC’s Dr. David Kuhar, Healthcare and Worker Safety Team Lead for the CDC Ebola Response; Dr. Barbara Knust, Epidemiology Team Lead for the CDC Ebola Response; and Dr. Tim Uyeki, Clinical Team Lead for the CDC Ebola Response, will answer infection preventionists' questions on steps U.S. healthcare facilities can take to prepare for the possibility of caring for a patient with Ebola virus disease.

To learn more about the webinar, titled "What Infection Preventionists need to know about Ebola  Preparations" and to register at no cost, visit APIC’s website.
