FDA Invention Fights Counterfeit Malaria Drugs

As nations and non-profit organizations diligently work together to treat malaria patients and prevent the disease’s spread, they also are forced to deal with a flood of counterfeit and substandard anti-malarial drugs.
Now, armed with a portable device invented by FDA scientists, FDA officials have launched a public-private partnership to combat counterfeit and substandard medicine.
