New this year, ASCO is offering three in-depth educational opportunities dedicated to topics of interest in the oncology community.- Clinical Care in Oncology for the Advanced Practice Provider
Cosponsored by the Association of Physician Assistants in Oncology and the Oncology Nursing Society, this seminar is designed to meet the educational needs of the advanced practice nurse and physician assistant. Topics covered will include trends in oncology care, standards for cancer screening, and symptom and side-effect management. - Designs for Contemporary Early-Phase Clinical Trials
Cosponsored by the Society for Clinical Trials, this seminar will enable participants to understand the design, implementation, and analysis of early-phase clinical trials. - New Drugs in Oncology
This seminar’s focus is the theoretical and practical aspects of both recently approved drugs and those on their way to approval. Topics covered will include mechanisms of action, administration, toxicity and side-effect management, and use in the clinic.
Attendees can register for the seminars as part of their Annual Meeting registration. The seminar registration fee includes a boxed lunch on Thursday and a continental breakfast on Friday.
These seminars have each been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
The Clinical Care in Oncology for the Advanced Practice Provider Seminar has been approved for ANCC nursing contact hours.
