Success Stories from CDC's National Program of Cancer Registries

We are pleased to announce that many of the success stories submitted by the registries in CDC's National Program of Cancer Registries (NPCR: CDC - Success Stories - NPCR - Cancer) are now posted on NPCR's Web site. Additional stories will be added as the review process is completed. The stories posted are those that in some measure have impacted public health. Several stories related to breast [CDC - Breast Cancer Control Success Stories] or colorectal cancers [CDC - Colorectal Cancer Control Success Stories] have been translated for our Spanish-speaking readers. We hope these stories illustrate how the data collected throughout the nation through central cancer registries are of great importance and value in addressing the needs of public health at local and national levels.
