Mobile Resources

NGC Guideline Summaries are available in HTML format downloadable to hand-held devices. To download a specific summary in HTML, click the "HTML" link at the top of a summary's page.
Information concerning the availability of full-text guidelines and/or companion documents available in downloadable versions for hand-held devices through the guideline developer is listed in the Companion Documents field in the guideline summary. In addition to the content available on NGC, several guideline developers provide other downloadable resources at their Web sites. The list below is organized alphabetically by guideline developer and provides a brief description of the available resources.

American Academy of Dermatology (AAD)
AAD guidelines are available in a mobile-friendly format from the AAD Web site .

American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP)
"Shots 2010" is a quick-reference guide to the Recommended Childhood and Adolescent Immunization Schedules, which represent a collaboration of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC's) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), AAFP, and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). The guide is available for download from the AAFP Web site .

American Academy of Neurology (AAN)
Academy members with web-enabled phones (also known as "smartphones") can now access resources specifically designed for mobile use, including clinical practice guidelines from the AAN Web site .

American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO)
Summary Benchmarks are available for Palm OS or Pocket PC Handheld Users from the AAO Web site . The APPRISOR viewer is required (http://guideline.gov/disclaimer.aspx?redirect=http://www.apprisor.com ).

American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD)

American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF)
Many of the full text versions of the ACCF/American Heart Association (AHA) clinical practice guidelines are also available for your Palm or Pocket PC PDA or Smartphone from the ACC Web site .

American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP)

American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP)
ACEP clinical policies are available for mobile applications from the ACEP Web site .

American College of Physicians (ACP)
ACP's PDA & Mobile Computing Center offers a variety of applications, mobile web resources, and mobile documents to support your clinical practice.

American College of Radiology (ACR)
ACR has developed the Appropriateness Criteria® Anytime, Anywhere™ PDA application, which is available from the ACR Web site .

American Diabetes Association (ADA)
The 2010 Standards of Care from the Clinical Practice Recommendations is available for viewing on a Palm or Pocket PC or as an iPhone App from the American Diabetes Association Web site .

American Heart Association (AHA)
AHA has made a number of its guidelines, jointly developed with the American College of Cardiology (ACC), available in PDA downloadbable format. Guidelines may be viewed with the APPRISOR™ Document Viewer for Palm OS, or by the iSilo document reader for Palm OS or Pocket PC. Association of Comprehensive Cancer Centres
The Association of Comprehensive Cancer Centres Web site makes several of it's guidelines available for download.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

• CDC sexually transmitted diseases guidelines 2006 are available in a PDA version from the CDC Web site .
• Child and adolescent immunization schedules are available for download to Palm/Pocket-PC handheld devices from the CDC Web site .
• Mobile guideline and related resources on AIDS can be downloaded from the AIDSinfo Web site .

European Society of Cardiology (ESC)
Download pocket guidelines for Palm, Pocket PC/Windows Mobile, and smartphones from the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Web site .

Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA)
IDSA practice guidelines are available for PDA's and iPhones from the IDSA Web site .

Medical Services Commission, British Columbia
Guidelines are available on iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Palm type devices from the British Columbia Ministry of Health Web site .

National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) (U.S.)
NHLBI guidelines are available forPalm OS and PocketPC devices from the NHLBI Web site .

Public Health Service (PHS) (U.S.)
The PHS "Quit smoking: consumer interactive tool" for Palm OS and PocketPC versions (PDA/Palm) is available from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Web site .

Singapore Ministry of Health
Clinical practice guidelines and guideline summary cards are available for PDA download in ISilo and MSReader formats from the Singapore Ministry of Health Web site .

Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM)
Surviving sepsis campaign: international guidelines for management of severe sepsis and septic shock: 2008: A tool for Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), is available from the Surviving Sepsis Campaign Web site .

U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF)
The Electronic Preventive Services Selector (ePSS) is an application designed to help primary care clinicians identify the screening, counseling, and preventive medication services that are appropriate for their patients.

The ePSS is available both as a web application and a mobile application. The ePSS information is based on the current recommendations of the USPSTF and can be searched by specific patient characteristics, such as age, sex, and selected behavioral risk factors.
