Chalkboard that says learn more about genetics and genomics on National DNA Day, April 25!

This year, April 25th marks the 13th National DNA Day. Celebrate the day by taking part in activities that can help you learn more about DNA, genetics, and genomics and share what you know.
National DNA Day offers the chance for teachers, students, and the public to learn more about genetics and genomics through activities and resources that include:
2015 National DNA Day activities at the Smithsonian National Museum of National History in Washington, D.C.
April 24: Dr. Lawrence Brody will be hosting a discussion on a Human Origins Today (HOT) Topic related to National DNA Day
April 25: Join NHGRI researchers at the Q?riusexhibit for interactive activities related to National DNA Day
This year, National DNA Day will be celebrated in schools on Friday, April 24th. On this day and throughout April, National DNA Day Ambassadors, who are researchers from across the country, will visit dozens of high schools. Ambassadors will talk with students about their research, current topics in genetics and genomics, and careers in the field. Learn more and get involved in activities by visiting the National DNA Day website and joining the discussion onFacebook and Twitter.
Congress approved the first National DNA Day in April 2003 to celebrate both the completion of the Human Genome Project and the 50 th anniversary of Watson and Crick's discovery of the double helix structure of DNA. The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) at the National Institutes of Health sponsors National DNA Day.
