Free SAMHSA Webcast
The Value of Using Evidence-Based Practices in Homeless Services

Wednesday, August 24, 2011 | 1:30 to 3 p.m. Eastern Time

Steve Day and John Morris of the Technical Assistance Collaborative, Inc., will give an overview of important issues in serving individuals experiencing homelessness using science-driven approaches, known as "evidence-based practices" (EBPs). They will answer common questions about the appropriateness of using EBPs for people who are homeless—especially those with mental health and/or substance use issues.

The discussion will be placed in the context of quality of care and the need for accountability in service delivery to vulnerable individuals. Examples of EBPs will be offered through a practical, hands-on approach.
