Brussels Rare Disease Week 2024

https://openacademy.eurordis.org/rare-disease-week-2024/ Next Monday 18 November 2024, EURORDIS-Rare Diseases Europe will launch its third Brussels Rare Disease Week (RDW)! Since 2021, RDW has equipped rare disease advocates with the essential skills, knowledge, and networks to enhance their impact on EU policymaking. This year’s RDW will provide patient advocates with a timely opportunity to engage with newly elected MEPs and key EU representatives, ensuring rare diseases remain high on the EU agenda amidst proposed cuts to critical health initiatives. As we look forward to a week of intensive training and hands-on advocacy, we also reflect on last year’s RDW, held in February 2023. Participants from 2023 share with us what they gained from the experience, and how RDW has empowered their advocacy over the 21 months since!
