People at High Risk of Flu-Related Complications Need a Flu Vaccine

​Most people who get sick with flu will have mild illness. Some people, however, are more likely to get flu complications that can result in hospitalization and sometimes death. People at high risk of flu-related complications can reduce their chance of flu illness and more serious flu outcomes by getting a flu vaccine this upcoming flu season.
