OWH Blog: Knowledge and News on Women | FDA

Knowledge and News on Women Blog Header

Dear Women’s Health Colleagues,

National Women’s Health Week (NWHW), is a perfect time for us all to check in on our personal wellness. This week we are launching our new OWH “Knowledge and News on Women” blog which I hope will serve as an additional resource for you to stay connected with our Office on scientific, educational and informal insights about various women’s health topics. This month OWH staff are sharing the many ways we try to maintain our personal well-being as we continue to navigate the unprecedented impacts of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

We are working diligently to continue operations and programming amid our “new normal”. I encourage you to read this Newsletter to learn about all that FDA is doing to support the health needs of women. This includes FDA’s recent approval of treatments for breast cancer and maintenance of advanced ovarian cancer. In addition, you will find the latest Agency COVID-19 updates highlighted below.

Now more than ever, we need to take the time to make our physical and mental wellness a priority.

Sincerely,

Kaveeta Vasisht, M.D., Pharm.D.
Associate Commissioner for Women's Health
Director, Office of Women's Health
