Update from the Office on Women's Health

HRSA Office of Regional Operations and HRSA Office of Women's Health

Since the onset of stay-at-home orders throughout the United States in response to the ongoing pandemic, calls to domestic violence hotlines and reports of intimate partner violence have drastically increased. Additionally, increased child abuse/maltreatment cases have been reported.

As part of National Women’s Health Week, HRSA’s Office of Women’s Health and Office of Regional Operations (Region 9) and the Administration for Children and Families, Family Violence Prevention and Services (FVPSA) Program are partnering to host a webinar to provide best practices and resources to healthcare providers and their community partners to respond to the signs of domestic violence, support victims experiencing abuse, and promote resiliency in children during the COVID-19 public health emergency.
