He was given Andy Rose’s liver and that not only saved his life but allowed another person to receive the liver that Christer would have received from a cadaver. Dr Giulano Testa, MD at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas says only about 250 of theseliving transplants are performed per year but 15,000 people die while waiting for a transplant so every living transplant can actually save two lives.
