This webinar will provide background on the history and purpose of the Guiding Principles, including an overview of each of the 15 principles, their practical applications in the field, and an overview of the Self-Assessment Tool to assess policies and practices across the focus areas. Participation in this webinar will build capacity for service providers who are new to the field and enhance service structures for experienced providers.

Part 2Implementing the Guiding Principles: Lessons for Policy, Funding, and Practice
Wednesday, September 23, 2020 (10:00–11:30 a.m. PT)
This webinar will provide concrete examples of how policymakers and organizational leadership can use the Guiding Principles to inform policy, funding, training, and the certification of human trafficking programs and approaches. Leaders from Florida, Kentucky, and Texas will provide lessons learned in implementing the Guiding Principles on a local, state, and regional level. It is highly recommended that participants in this webinar attend Part 1: Guiding Principles for Agencies Serving Individuals Impacted by Human Trafficking on Wednesday, September 16, and/or familiarize themselves with the original Guiding Principles document.
