Weekly Influenza Surveillance
Flu activity is low across the United States, but influenza viruses circulate year-round and flu outbreaks can occur during the summer months. CDC recommends flu vaccination to prevent influenza and antiviral drugs for treatment, for high risk people especially. All 2013-2014 flu vaccine will expire by the end of June. Vaccine for next season is expected to be available beginning late summer.
