In the fall of 2010, the City of San Francisco and five other jurisdictions were awarded funding for PCSI demonstration projects to plan, scale‐up, and support the implementation of a syndemic approach to the prevention of HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, STDs and TB. At a meeting with CDC, San Francisco presented their progress towards achieving the goals of the demonstration project. They conducted an in-depth surveillance baseline assessment across multiple disease registries to begin developing a comprehensive plan to assess feasibility of integrating services and begin obtaining input from stakeholders into the process.
