CDC Releases the 2018 Adult Obesity Prevalence Maps
In September, DNPAO released the 2018 Adult Obesity Prevalence Maps. The maps show self-reported adult obesity prevalence by race, ethnicity, and location. In 2018, 9 states reported an adult obesity prevalence at or above 35%: Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, and West Virginia. There are notable differences by race and ethnicity, as shown by combined data from 2016–2018.
